James Douglas Webster c1985

James Douglas Webster was born March 23, 1937 in St Catharines, Ontario Canada. In May 1950 he moved with his parents and younger siblings to Melbourne, Victoria Australia, completing his education at Brighton Grammar School and Caulfield Institute of Technology.

From 1957 he worked as a designer at General Motors, where he met Gillian Anne Poole. They married in 1962 produced two sons Joseph Sean Webster (1963) and Benjamin James Webster (1964). From 1971 to 1987 Jim worked as design director at Webster Computer Corporation, then as a engineer at Hella, until his untimely death on April 30, 1998.

Jim loved boating, old cars, and exploring the vast Australian outback.
